About

N.David.K a.k.a Nnamdi Akwaeze a.k.a Namanjelo, is in the Investment Banking industry and is a big fan of scifi, african scifi, adventure and african adventure. He is a big of blockchain technology and NFTs.

On the creative side, he loves to engage in creative material such as drawing, planning boovies (book movies), screenplays, as well as creating his own music and sound track to his material. He is a fan of arsenal football club and likes anyone to challenge him to a game of monopoly.

N.David.K created a fictional world, of which Calanonia is a part and he may use it to write his book ‘King of Tribes’. One of the characters in this world are phoenixes. The phoenixes are bred and taken care  off predominantly by a character called Namanjelo. Namanjelo is also the NFT brand name for N.David,K’s NFT work.

N.David.K got into the world of of NFTs and decided to create his own NFTs. He didn’t want to create another ape wearing a spacesuit, driving a submarine while sleeping on a cloud. He wanted to showcase NFTs that related to his work and thought the best place to start would be one of the characters(phoenixes) in his fictional world.

He also wants to send a message with his work as does the phoenixes in the fictional world and hence the Phoenix of Freedom are NFTs with a positive message.

N.David.K, Namanjelo, Nnamdi (all the same person) only has a collection of 20 phoenixes. Some of the NFT creators have asked him to create more using computer code to create 1000’s. N.David.K refused, as the Phoenix of Freedoms NFTs are not just about the way the art looks, but each phoenix has a name, has its own character and identity and it takes time to think and create each character + their story, what they want to achieve and what they want to represent. Some of the NFTs may not even go on sale.

At the moment all the 20 NFts are on marketplace Opensea. None are for sale yet!. Follow on Instagram/discord/telegram for more info

N.David.K has principles when creating NFTs and some of them are:

1. Making money should never come before the art and creativity.

2. The art/creative material should send a message or remind us of ‘something’.

3. If you focus on making money, the art suffers, if you focus on the art, the creativity lives.

4. NFTs should not make art. Art should make NFTs.
